I'm Michelle Carnes, and I'm delighted to share a bit about myself and my journey with you. With nearly 20 years of ministry experience, I have had the privilege of dedicating almost 15 years to Young Life, an organization that holds a special place in my heart.

My Journey with Young Life
For almost a decade, I served as the Area Director in Snoqualmie, WA. During this time, I witnessed countless lives transformed and had the opportunity to foster a vibrant and supportive community. Following this, I took on the role of Area Developer for 19 months, where I focused on starting new Young Life areas and revitalizing existing ones. This experience allowed me to broaden my perspective and deepen my commitment to the mission of reaching young people with the message of Jesus.

New Beginnings in Chelan Valley
Recently, my family and I felt a calling to move to Chelan Valley. My husband, Shawn, and our two adult children, Hailey and Grace, have joined me in this exciting new chapter. As the new Area Director for Chelan Valley Young Life, I am thrilled to continue my journey here. Our dedicated volunteer committee and leaders have worked tirelessly to keep Young Life thriving in the valley through clubs, camps, fundraisers, and community events. Their unwavering commitment has been truly inspiring.

A Heart for Youth Ministry
Throughout my career, my passion has always been to see young people discover and embrace the love of Jesus. Whether it's through fun and engaging club activities, life-changing camp experiences, or meaningful community events, I strive to create environments where youth can grow in their faith and find a sense of belonging.
